Users can create and manage custom mantras, track their daily and lifetime chant counts, set personalized chanting goals, maintain streaks, and receive motivational reminders to stay consistent in their spiritual journey.
The app includes a curated Mantra Library with more than 10 preloaded mantras that can be added with a single tap, allowing users to begin chanting immediately without manual setup. Detailed analytics provide insights into chanting habits, progress, streaks, and goal completion, helping users build long-term consistency.
Built with a privacy-first approach, all data is stored locally on the user's device, ensuring complete ownership of personal spiritual records without requiring accounts, cloud synchronization, advertisements, or subscriptions. With its minimal, elegant interface, Japika removes distractions so users can focus entirely on their spiritual practice and mindfulness.

Challenges Faced
Challenge: Designing a peaceful user experience while ensuring reliable offline storage, reminder scheduling, and long-term progress tracking. Solution: Utilized Zustand for lightweight state management backed by AsyncStorage for offline persistence, implemented local push notification scheduling via Expo Notifications, and designed a clean, distraction-free UI with custom SVG charts for progress visualization.
